It’s even more tilted than the famous Pisa Tower! From the Korunka Lookout Tower in the Hřebeny Nature Park, you'll see nearly all of Bohemia.
Architects see two rotating hyperboloids in its design, but to locals, it looks like a royal crown when viewed from the valley. That’s how it got its name—Korunka Lookout Tower.
Standing 30 meters tall on Červená hlína Hill near Černolice, the viewing platform is 10 meters lower. The tower itself is impressive, but the real highlight is the panoramic view. From above the treetops, you can see parts of Prague, the Brdy mountains, and on clear days, even Říp Mountain or Krkonoše.
There are two ways to reach the tower: a short walk from Černolice or a route from Všenory along the yellow trail. The Černolice path is shorter and passes the scenic Černolické Rocks, but it’s mainly accessible by car. For those without one, the Všenory route, with good train connections, is a great alternative.
Korunka is open year-round, except in winter when it’s closed for safety. You can even grab a snack from a unique self-service fridge at the base of the tower.
Add a cultural touch to your trip with a visit to the nearby castle in Mníšek pod Brdy. You’re also not far from Jílové u Prahy, where the local regional museum, along with the famous viaduct and scenic nature, is worth a visit. For a sci-fi-like adventure, explore the Koněprusy Caves near Beroun, the longest caves in the Czech Republic at over 2 km long.
In the museum's halls, you'll catch the excitement of the gold rush, encounter the spirit of a famous alchemist, or embrace the life of a true Czech camper.
