The mini-zoo in Zájezd, near Kladno, is a fantastic spot for families. Explore over 100 exotic and domestic animals, some of which you can even feed!
At Zájezd Zoo, you’ll find a diverse range of animals, including meerkats, lemurs, big cats, and birds of prey. The main attraction is the terrariums with reptiles and amphibians, showcasing the world’s largest collection of chameleons. Emphasizing the motto “Closer to Nature,” the park features enclosures and structures made entirely from natural materials.
Younger and older children alike will enjoy the Ušákov play area, where they can interact with the world’s largest rabbits. Kids can also explore the enclosure with dwarf goats and get up close with sheep and llamas in the petting area. Adorable mini pigs are waiting to be fed—just grab a snack from the vending machine. Plus, there’s a walk-through aviary featuring curious squirrels and golden pheasants.
For more fun, consider booking a Family Animal Feeding session with a zookeeper, or try the “Daring Feeding” experience, where you can offer insect treats to chameleons, iguanas, and snakes. All experiences make great gifts, with vouchers available in the zoo’s online shop!
Zájezd Zoo hosts a wide range of fun and educational programs and events year-round. During the holidays, they also offer day camps filled with exciting activities.
Visitors will appreciate the generous parking, quality refreshments, and a playground for the kids.
You can easily spend an entire day at the zoo. However, if you have some extra time, consider visiting the ruins of Okoř Castle or playing outdoor mini-golf in Číčovice.
