Zoopark Zelčín

In Zoopark Zelčín, both kids and adults can enjoy plenty of activities, such as guided tours, pony rides, and feeding various animals. You can treat goats, sheep, poultry, and llamas to some snacks, and under the supervision of zookeepers, you can enter enclosures of kangaroos, emus, Fjord horses, Dexter cows, mini pigs, pampas nandus, and more.

The Zoopark, focused on domestic farm animals, offers a range of events for the public, school and kindergarten programs, as well as children’s camps. A new feature since 2022 is the barefoot trail – a sensory path made from natural materials that encourages healthy, barefoot walking and tactile exploration of different surfaces.

• Interesting fact: The pride of the largest contact zoopark in the Czech Republic is the Fjord horses, which resemble horses from the Ice Age. These horses have preserved much of the toughness and strength of their wild ancestors. They are known for their unique coloring, with a dark eel stripe along their back and zebra-like markings on their legs. Their tails have a magical silver tint.

For an unforgettable experience with the animals, Zoopark Zelčín offers accommodation on the farm in apartments, tents, or even unique tipis. The campsite is located right next to the animal enclosures. You can also enjoy various outdoor activities, like rafting, paddleboarding, or scooter rides. Plus, kids will love the huge air trampoline area, with over 1,300 m² of fun!

• Tip for you: Take some of the animals for a walk! Go for a stroll with the goats, mini pigs, sheep, or rabbits – they can all be walked on a leash and harness.
