The gallery of modern and contemporary art is situated in the distinctive premises of the former Jesuit College in Kutná Hora, making it one of the Czech Republic's largest galleries.
The Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region, also known as GASK, focuses on modern and contemporary art. It hosts rotating exhibitions, presents a permanent display of its gallery collection, organizes a variety of educational and cultural events, and also provides extensive facilities for conferences.
The art gallery focuses on 20th and 21st-century visual arts and is found in the old Jesuit College in Kutná Hora. It’s close to the famous St. Barbara’s Church, and there’s a nice garden around it where people can enjoy art outdoors and relax.
Ever thought galleries were mainly for adults and not suitable for a family outing with little ones? Well, GASK breaks that stereotype! When visiting Kutná Hora with young explorers, be sure not to overlook the visual playrooms. Your kids will love the interactive, playful, and vibrant atmosphere. What’s more, you can purchase separate tickets for the playroom, making it easy to return with the kids for more fun.
Looking to explore more of Kutná Hora? Beyond the stunning St. Barbara’s Church, a short stroll from the Jesuit College leads you to other captivating spots. Immerse yourself in the aroma of old printing machines and handmade paper at the local printshop. Take home a personally printed postcard as a delightful memento. Just across the street, you’ll find Hrádek, also known as the Czech Museum of Silver, offering a fascinating journey into medieval Kutná Hora’s underground. Cap off your enriching day with a sweet reward from the Chocolate Museum on Komenského Square.
