Bike Trips
Go cycling in the picturesque landscape of the lower Posázaví. The route is 30 km long and due to the hilly terrain it is more suitable for advanced cyclists.
The road around Sázava is not the easiest one and you need to have enough experience to conquer it. In addition to steep climbs and descents, you will find forest paths, busy roads and smaller side roads. As a reward, the route will take you to the most beautiful part of the Sázava River.
Start in Davle, which can be easily reached by train from Prague, and follow the 8199 bike trail to the Sázava River valley. In Pikovice you will cross a bridge, after which the first steep climb to Třebsín awaits you. You can relax and recharge your batteries in the Zvonička Restaurant. The route will continue along the road through Krňany to Kamenný Přívoz to the Sázava River. A little further along the main road to the end to the Páris Mill, where you will join the 19E bike trail. The last few pedals and you are at the main destination of the trip – the Žampach viaduct.
Beyond the bridge, another attraction awaits you in the Kocourská Gorge, the gold mining gallery. The area around Sázava has attracted gold miners through the ages and the remains of their activities are still visible here today. St. Joseph and St. Antonín Paduánský Galleries are open to the public thanks to the nearby Regional Museum in Jílové u Prahy. In Studená you can make a detour to the Pepř lookout tower, or even to Jílové. At the end of the road you follow the bike trail 19, Sázavská, which will lead you back to Davle.
