Bike Trips
Hřebeny is the closest mountain range to Prague. Its deep forests interwoven with asphalt roads are a true cycling paradise. Get to know them!
Where else to go on a ridgeway, if not in Hřebeny. Together with today’s Brdy Protected Landscape Area, Hřebeny attracts tourists with its military past and dense network of asphalt and off-road paths.
From Dobřichovice, where the CityElefant suburban train (line S7) from Prague or Beroun will comfortably take you and your bike, go up to the Hřebeny Nature Park. You can avoid the initial most difficult climb if you take the cyclo-bus of line 996 and ride to Černolice.
The red-marked bike trail takes you into the woods, hiding the Skalka pilgrimage area (553 m) with a Baroque church, the Stations of the Cross, a hermitage and nice views of the Mníšek pod Brdy château. The design of the complex is the work of Kryštof Dientzenhofer, who was inspired by France.
At the Na Soudném crossroads, leave from the red route and enjoy the long descent to the village of Halouny with the famous Inn U Zrzavého paviána. The route continues through Svinaře (restored château) to Zadní Třebaň to the train station. Before your train leaves, go to the local island and enjoy the beautiful views of the Berounka River and a refreshing dip in its waters.
